The two bismuth shot sizes of interest for duck hunting are #4 which is a bit “ better” than #2 steel, and #5 bismuth which is about like #3 steel: #5 bismuth at fps (most bismuth recipes are around this) essentially gives the same penetration as #3 steel, but a 25% increase in pellets for same payload; #4 shot at fps.

Description:I use a system of pattern testing that gives me the maximum amount of information without being too time-consuming either in implementation or in subsequent analysis. So I find it a usefully close parameter to produce results that aid vs. In this short article, I hope to show you the value of carrying out your own, thorough patterning and your own penetration tests as well as telling you how to do your own tests. I remove both front and back covers from each yellow pages directory. Two of these sheets x , joined together make a sheet of x which, give or take the odd mm, is the same as 12 sheets of A3 paper to make one target. Out of respect for the quarry you hunt, you should know what patterns you will be getting. This gave me a sheet approximately mm x mm which is about 49" x 42".
