Forge PCV Delete Plate/Revamp for EA113 Engines
This beautifully machined PCV Delete Plate from Forge Motorsport deletes the factory PCV system on the VW 2.0 litre TFSi engines. This is the belt cam EA113 engine in the Mk5 Golf GTi etc.The Positive Crankcase Ventilation system on these engines is a known weak spot and was totally redesigned for the next generation of GTI engine.It contains a soft diaphragm which can become worn out and split over time, particularly if the engine is upgraded. This allows blow-by from the crankcase into the inlet.This can then in turn cause a loss of boost and lead to other problems with the engine like deposits on the intake valves. None of this is desirable and can often lead to the dreaded Check Engine Light and sluggish performance.This can be remedied either by replacing the crankcase breather system with a catch-can system or more simply by deleting the PCV which is what this part does. It removes the factory PCV system altogether and completely seperates the cam cover and inlet. Instead the two internal ports are linked together.This means you're eliminating a number of fiddly failure prone components and adding some beautifully machined aluminium from Forge to your engine bay to boot.Forge have also taken the opportunity to engineer in three vacuum hoses for mounting boost gauges, water spray controllers and so on meaning that while this is a nice fix/upgrade on it's own you can also use it as part of a package of upgrades.As with everything Forge do, this is wonderfully machined, very nice to look at, and supplied with a full set of instructions.
