AEM Electronics High-Output IGBT Inductive Smart Coils
AEM Electronics High-Output IGBT "Smart" Inductive Coils offer the first inductive coil solution that achieves CDI-like spark energy and voltage, combined with an extended spark duration necessary for high-performance vehicles running high compression, high RPM, forced induction and/or nitrous equipped engines.Massive Spark Energy, up to 103 mJIncredibly long spark duration, up to 2.9mSUp to 40kV Output Voltage, without using a CDICost less than aftermarket LS1 coilsFlexible mounting optionsWeather and Shockproof designMost Auto enthusiasts/tuners who have forced induction engines, high RPM engines or run nitrous oxide are well aware of the compromises associated with using inductive coils compared to converting to a Capacitive Discharge Ignition system (CDI). While inductive coils easily achieve a long spark duration, they lack sufficient energy to efficiently ignite the mixture in the combustion chamber of a highly modified performance vehicle. CDIs on the other hand, deliver intense spark energy, but with practically no spark duration, which makes proper air/fuel mixture critical for optimal combustion and performance. With the development of AEM's High-Output IGBT"Smart" Inductive Coils, this is no longer a challenge, as both increased spark energy and duration have been achieved without the need to convert to a CDI system.AEM's High-Output Inductive Coils each deliver over 100mJ of spark energy and a minimum of 40,000 Volts, as much as most CDI systems, without the need for a CDI module! They also provide a very long spark duration at full energy, even out-performing existing CDI/multi-spark systems, which simulate longer spark durations with smaller spark events on either side of the CDI main spark.AEM's High-Output, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) "Smart" Inductive Coils are designed for use on applications that do not have an external igniter.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:Output (no load): 40kV minimumOutput (50pF load): 40kV +/- 10%Output Energy: 103 mJ +/- 7%Peak Secondary Current: 102 mA +/- 10%Arc Duration: 2.9mS +/- 10%Turns Ratio 71:1Maximum Current: 19 AmpsMaximum Battery Voltage: 17 VoltsBase Dwell: 3.0 mSMax Continuous Dwell: 9 mS but don't exceed 40% duty cycleMax Intermittent Dwell: 80% duty cycle, 5 seconds maximumMating Connector: Packard/Delphi 12162825 "Pull to Seat"Mating Contacts: Packard/Delphi 12124075 ";Pull to Seat"High Tension Wire Terminal: HEI "spark plug top" Style

Patent Law, Green Technology and Innovation
In the era of modern industrial regimes, the role of technology in tackling climate change is pivotal.International goals of climate change mitigation and sustainable development cannot be achieved without the contribution of new technologies. At the same time, the importance of patent protection and an efficient patent system that facilitates technology transfer among international frontiers cannot be overlooked. Many patented technologies are either not accessible for further dissemination or do not hold much technical value. Therefore, advanced systems of collaborative innovation have been developed, especially in the sector of green technology and green innovation. The environmental concerns of the global community cannot be tackled by a single company, person, sector or country.Innovation partnerships and collaborative research will play a vital role in combating global climate concerns and in determining the diffusion of green technologies for maximum impact. This book argues that policy-makers should encourage partnerships in technology rather than focusing on gaining investment and access to green technology to encourage global technological giants to transfer their technology and knowledge to local entities. It analyzes the relationship between patent protection, green innovation and diffusion of green technology against the backdrop of climate change and severe climate crisis. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to align patent law and green technology with the Sustainable Development Goals, it examines the effects of patent protection, technology transfer and compulsory licensing on the diffusion of green technologies while offering a systematic analysis of the relationship between patent protection, green innovation and diffusion of green technology from a global perspective.
